Beyond Luxury
Invited by Bentley Motors alongside Dror Benshetrit and Sami Hayek, I developed Beyond Luxury, a speculative project exploring how the marque's design language and culture of bespoke production could extend beyond the automobile. After a shared research visit to Bentley's factory in Crewe, each designer created an independent response to the brand.
My proposal translated specific qualities of Bentley into a collection of limited-edition furniture and a singular architectural concept. Five benches and twenty-five chairs drew on the form and carbon-fiber construction of the Continental GT's exterior, while ten leather-topped low tables interpreted the materials and detailing of its interior. The sequence culminated in a one-off concept home — extending Bentley from an object of mobility into a complete living environment.
The outcome was a film, presented in Miami during Design Miami and Art Basel week. Moving from automotive silhouette to furniture to architecture, it explored limited production, individualism, tailor-made design, and exclusivity as interconnected expressions of the brand. Beyond Luxury proposed three-dimensional design and storytelling as tools for testing how a luxury marque could expand its world without losing its identity.
